The NetSecOps team within the Ministrys digital department is looking for two motivated, inquisitive and passionate engineers, to take up the role of Network/Security Engineer based in our National Office in Wellington.

You Will

Be involved in the ongoing lifecycle activities for services the NetSecOps team deliver - including Network Security, Endpoint Security and Identity Security
Provide second level network support to users across our sites nationwide
Provide eyes on glass for initial incident triage and escalation of network faults
Attend sites (nationwide) and assist with physical installation of network equipment
Work on technical delivery of projects both internal and external

To be successful you must be passionate about modern cybersecurity practises and solutions

Have an interest in developing into a broad cybersecurity career
Be comfortable to be part of a team who support and rely on one-another.
Enjoy sharing technical expertise and exchanging ideas
Have empathy and the ability to relate to a wide range of people.

Utu ā-tau/Salary

The appointing salary for this role will be between $88,455 and $113,639 based on skills and experience.
