About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Pulp Marshalling team on a casual basis, helping out when needed to cover busy periods or absences. The role involves safely handling pulp bales using clamp forklifts, including unloading, stacking, moving stock, and loading containers and vessels. You’ll need to be reliable, safety-focused, and able to work well in a fast-paced 24/7 port environment.

Location: Mount Maunganui

Status: Casual, as and when required basis

Specific Responsibilities

  • Load and unload pulp from rail wagons, trucks, containers, and vessels
  • Allocate pulp accurately to customer orders
  • Load and unload containers with top lifter onto trucks
  • Complete electronic scanning and documentation accurately
  • Maintain a safe working environment and report all incidents and near misses
  • Work collaboratively within the marshalling and warehousing team

Who we're after

  • Proven clamp forklift experience
  • Container top lifter experience desirable
  • Strong safety focus and attention to detail
  • Reliable, flexible, and comfortable with day/night shift work
  • Full Class 1 Driver License
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
