We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Commissioning Engineer to join our high performing team.
Reporting to the Operations Commissioning Manager, you will provide water or wastewater commissioning expertise to ensure the successful implementation of capital works, maximising system efficiency and delivering positive outcomes for our customers.
You will oversee the commissioning process to ensure the successful implementation of project outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the planning for commissioning, entry to service, performance testing and successful hand-over of multiple projects simultaneously. Projects are diverse and range from major asset upgrades to complex treatment plants.
- Provide water and/or wastewater process expertise.
- Prepare and review commissioning documentation including test plans, functional test sheets and commissioning plans.
- Build strong and successful collaborative working relationships across our internal business units, external consultants and site contractors to drive a unified approach to quality.
- Develop and improve existing systems, standards and business processes/practices to meet the demands of a changing operational environment.
- Work with commissioning engineers, capital delivery and operational staff to embed best practice commissioning within Watercare and partner organisations.

You Will Bring
- A minimum five years' experience in engineering and/or operations experience (process, mechanical, chemical) including experience with commissioning of complex industrial processes (water/food/chemical/oil & gas).
- Proven experience in either water or wastewater treatment processes.
- Confidence in writing and presenting technical, managerial and business principles.
- Knowledge and experience in business continuance/ quality systems with a drive to develop knowledge and understanding of new technologies.
- Knowledge of NZ Health and safety legislation, systems, standards and requirements.
- Tertiary degree in Engineering or related field.
- A full NZ Drivers Licence
