Strategic Projects Manager

ZIWI

Remote

At ZIWI, we’re on a mission to elevate every pet to their peak, every day of their life

As New Zealand's leading pet food exporter and the global leader in air-dried pet nutrition, our award-winning products are trusted by pet parents around the world. Guided by our vision to become the world's leading ultra-premium pet food brand, we're continuing to invest in growth, innovation and operational excellence.

Within our newly established strategy function (lead by an exceptionally talented Global Head of Strategy!) we are on the look-out for an experienced Strategic Projects Manager to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) and drive some of the most critical initiatives across our global business.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you'll play a critical role in turning strategy into execution. You'll bring structure, governance and accountability to critical projects while also rolling up your sleeves and helping our teams remove obstacles, solve problems and deliver at speed.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the discipline of project governance and portfolio management but is equally comfortable diving into analysis, building presentations, influencing stakeholders and driving outcomes.

What you will be doing

  • Building and leading ZIWI's PMO function from the ground up.
  • Driving strategic projects that create real business value.
  • Providing visibility, governance and accountability across the project portfolio.
  • Preparing executive-ready insights, reports and presentations.
  • Influencing stakeholders and removing barriers to delivery.
  • Rolling up your sleeves to help teams execute and achieve results.

About you

You're a high-performing project or transformation guru with 3–5 years' experience within a consulting firm (e.g. EY, Deloitte, PwC or KPMG), as well as:

  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Experience preparing executive- and board-level presentations and reports
  • The confidence to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and a strong sense of accountability
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously

You'll thrive in a high-performance, fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly and execution matters. As a private equity-backed business, ZIWI operates with a strong focus on results, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working at pace, within a great team and making a tangible impact.

All applicants must have current NZ residency or a valid work visa to apply for this role.
