About the role | Ko te mahi nei

As a Quality Assurance Officer you will be assisting in delivery and compliance with the Christchurch Water Safety Plans, Stormwater Management Plans, Environmental Management Plan and Three Waters consent conditions. You will be conducting site audits, sampling, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, researching and analysing data to support the Quality and Compliance team decisions.

Skills

You will have proven customer-facing and presentation skills with strong ability to communicate with internal stakeholders at all levels of the business. You'll also have great relationship building skills and can provide analysis and recommendations to the highest levels of the Council. Practical experience using a range of current computer programmes for research and analysis, word processing, spreadsheets and databases is a must. You will also have:

  • A tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering, water, resource management or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience in a relevant field e.g. auditing, reporting or engineering background
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  • Drivers Licence – at least Class 1 (motor vehicle)

  • Hours of work - 37.5 - 40 hours per week
  • Position - Permanent, full-time
  • Location - This position is primarily based at Te Hononga, Christchurch City Council Civic Offices - 53 Hereford Street
  • Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $81,227 to $90,252 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
