About The Role

We're looking for Chemistry Masters-level experts to help train and improve the next generation of AI models. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs — and your deep chemistry knowledge is exactly what's needed to push these models further.

You'll use your academic expertise to design challenging problems, evaluate AI reasoning, and help build the benchmarks that make AI smarter. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role — work on your own schedule from anywhere in the world.

What You'll Do

• Design advanced chemistry problems across domains like chemical engineering, biochemistry, and physical chemistry to rigorously test AI performance
• Develop detailed, step-by-step solutions with clear and logically sound reasoning
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning
• Collaborate with researchers to refine and develop benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Masters-level chemistry topics
• Provide structured, actionable feedback that directly improves AI model quality

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains
• Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly in writing
• Detail-oriented with the ability to evaluate and critique technical content systematically
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
• No prior AI experience required — we'll get you up to speed

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation workflows
• Familiarity with large language models or AI research tools
• Background spanning multiple chemistry subdisciplines
