About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

As the Head of Performance & Intelligence, you will lead the coordination and delivery of enterprise and operational performance insights across ACC. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping how performance is understood, analysed, and improved across the organisation. You will drive a strategic performance function that enables data-led decision making, supports leadership to solve complex operational challenges, and improves outcomes for New Zealanders.

You'll play a pivotal role in leading enterprise performance reporting, strategic analysis, intelligence-led insights, and performance improvement initiatives, contributing to keeping Kiwis safe at work, at home, and everywhere in between.

The appointing salary for this role is $215,206 - $278,502 based on experience and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance, and flexibility to change to a locked plan at any time.

You will bring:

  • Significant senior leadership experience in performance, analytics, intelligence, or data-driven environments
  • Proven experience leading enterprise performance reporting, business analysis, and strategic insight delivery in complex organisations
  • Strong track record driving performance improvement and operational excellence across large, multi-faceted environments
  • Demonstrated capability applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi in policy, system, or service design
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including working with executive and governance stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams through coaching, empowerment, and accountability
  • Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving capability
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.
