About the job
Wade Group is on the lookout for a skilled Signwriter to join our team in Hamilton. We specialise in the design and build of bespoke vehicles for customers across New Zealand from frontline ambulances and police vehicles through to heavy transport and specialist fit-outs. As a Signwriter, you’ll be responsible for the design, layout, and application of signage on specialist vehicles. This includes managing the full process of livery, decals, tinting, and related applications to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Apply vehicle decals and window tint material with accuracy and attention to detail – Tint application training would be provided if required
- Operate design software & plotters equipment to produce high-quality signage
- Prepare surfaces, measure, and calculate material requirements
- Maintain electronic records of designs and applications
- Perform stock checks and ensure equipment safety compliance
- Provide accurate job quotes and deliver exceptional customer service Uphold health, safety, and quality standards
What we are looking for
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in sign writing (vehicle experience is a plus)
- Proficiency in graphic CAD design software and file setup, FlexiSign experience would be advantageous
- Printing experience would be advantageous but not a must
- Window tinting experience not essential but advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- A team player with pride in their workmanship Flexibility to adapt across different projects and vehicle type
