About The Role
As a Transmission Line Mechanic, you’ll play a key role in constructing, maintaining and upgrading transmission lines across the region.
Your Day-to-day Will Include
- Building, maintaining and repairing transmission line structures and hardware
- Climbing structures and working at heights across diverse outdoor environments
- Supporting line stringing, conductor installation and maintenance works
- Ensuring safe and reliable operation of critical network assets
- Working closely with crews to deliver projects safely, on time and to a high standard
- This is a physically active, hands‑on role with variety, working across multiple sites and conditions.
Other details: permanent, full-time at 40 hours a week with an hourly range rate of $35 to $45.
About You
You’re motivated, safety-focused and enjoy working as part of a team in the outdoors.
You’ll Bring
- 2-3 years relevant experience as a Transmission Line Mechanic or in line construction/maintenance
- EWRB Line mechanic registration (Trainee Line Mechanic Registration also accepted)
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety and safe work practices
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
- Full Class 1 licence (Class 2 or higher advantageous) or equivalent
