The Digital, Data and Finance Group brings together digital capability, data insight and financial stewardship to support how Maritime NZ plans, prioritises and delivers strong regulatory performance.
Within this, the DST Delivery and Support function is responsible for ensuring digital systems, platforms and infrastructure are reliable, secure and able to support day-to-day operations and long-term transformation.
Te tunga | The role
Maritime NZ is undergoing a period of change to strengthen its sustainability and future focus. Following an organisational redesign, we are recruiting into a number of newly shaped roles that support our shift toward more efficient, digitally enabled ways of working, helping position us for the future.
This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for how Maritime NZs digital services are delivered, supported and maintained. As Manager DST Delivery and Support, youll lead the teams responsible for platform delivery, infrastructure, cloud services and system support, ensuring systems perform reliably and support organisational needs. Youll play a key role in connecting delivery with ongoing operations, ensuring systems are not only delivered effectively, but remain stable, secure and continuously improving over time.
Key areas of focus include:
- Leading day-to-day delivery and operation of digital platforms, systems and infrastructure
- Ensuring systems meet performance, availability and user expectations
- Overseeing cloud platforms, infrastructure and engineering environments
- Leading service support functions, including incident, problem and request management
- Ensuring strong operational resilience, monitoring and continuous improvement
- Supporting smooth transition from project delivery into steady-state operations
- Working closely with strategy and architecture teams to ensure systems are fit for purpose
- Managing vendor relationships and service performance
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team across delivery, engineering and support
This role is critical to ensuring Maritime NZs digital environment is stable, responsive and able to support both operational delivery and future change.

Youre an experienced digital or IT operational leader who understands how to run complex platforms and services at scale. You bring strong delivery discipline, operational focus and people leadership capability.
You will bring:
- Experience leading digital or IT service delivery and operations in complex environments
- Proven people leadership across multidisciplinary teams (delivery, engineering, support)
- Strong experience managing platforms, infrastructure and business systems
- Understanding of cloud, infrastructure and modern service delivery models
- Experience embedding service management practices (incident, problem, change)
- Strong focus on system performance, resilience and user outcomes
- Experience working across strategy, architecture and delivery teams
- Ability to manage vendors and external service providers effectively
- Strong organisational and prioritisation capability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

Salary range
$166,424 - $203,407 depending on skills and experience + superannuation.
