Senior Account Executive - Auckland, NZ

Drive enterprise revenue growth across New Zealand by owning the full sales lifecycle for cloud and AI-powered customer experience solutions.

This role directly influences how organiations modernise customer engagement, improve operational efficiency, and deliver better outcomes at scale.

At Genesys, you will partner with leading enterprises, public sector organisations, and strategic partners to shape digital transformation initiatives that impact millions of customer interactions daily.

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, engaging senior stakeholders and aligning complex solutions to real business challenges. This role offers strong visibility, access to enterprise-level deals, and the opportunity to expand your influence across a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing enterprise opportunities across direct and partner-led channels

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting through contract execution and revenue realization

  • Build and expand relationships with senior stakeholders across enterprise and public sector accounts

  • Design and deliver high-impact solution presentations that align customer challenges with measurable business outcomes

  • Collaborate with partners to develop and execute joint go-to-market strategies that increase pipeline and revenue

  • Influence territory strategy by identifying whitespace opportunities and expanding existing customer accounts

  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, reporting, and opportunity tracking to support business planning

  • Partner with internal teams including pre-sales, legal, and alliances to accelerate deal velocity and ensure successful execution

  • Develop and grow strategic partner relationships to enable scalable and repeatable sales success

  • Build domain expertise in public sector and customer experience technologies to strengthen market positioning

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales or channel sales within technology, software, or cloud platforms

  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets

  • Experience selling to medium to large enterprise organisations, including senior executive engagement

  • Strong background in prospecting, pipeline development, and closing complex deals

  • Proven ability to manage both direct and partner-led sales motions

  • Solid understanding of customer experience, CRM, contact center technologies, or related domains

  • Experience working with resellers, alliance partners, or telecommunications service providers

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align solutions to customer outcomes

  • Self-driven, accountable, and capable of operating independently in a high-performance environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling AI-driven, cloud-based, or SaaS solutions

  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as Challenger, TAS, or similar frameworks

  • Experience working within the public sector vertical

  • Technical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate complex solution architectures

  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling partner ecosystems

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
