Security and Cleaning Site Supervisor

The Role

Millennium is currently seeking a highly motivated Security and Cleaning Supervisor to manage one of our busy shopping mall sites in Invercargill NZ.

The role requires an experienced individual with excellent knowledge in site security, cleaning, building management systems and fire control systems, and the application of standard operating procedures.

We have Full time position available, with shifts as follows:

Thursday - Monday: 4:00PM-12:00AM

ROSTER

Security

Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Manage and lead a team of Security Officers and Cleaners
• Overseeing the site-based control room and CCTV system
• Manage the client relationship on site and report up to regional manager
• Assess and mitigate risks on site
• Respond to calls for assistance and respond to alarm events
• Implement effective strategies for engaging with persons of interest
• Communicate effectively with all persons whilst on-duty
• Use communication systems including portable two-way radios
• Provide advice, directions and display a willingness to assist all persons whilst on-duty
• Promote and maintain workplace health and safety
• Input data on site/client systems, as required by site SOPs
• Recruit and train new employees

Cleaning

• Supervise and support a small team of cleaners
• Effective task scheduling to ensure deadlines and SLAs are met.
• Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Assigning duties, conducting spot checks, and ensuring task completion.
• Supporting staff with guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee and participate in daily cleaning operations within the store.
• Meet rotations and KPI's for our client site.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure all tools are in good working condition.
• Respond to client requests and feedback
• Maintain Rosters and provide shift coverage when required
• Recruit and onboard new team members
• Taking immediate and appropriate action during accidents or hazards.

Key Selection Criteria

• Valid Security License is a must
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification is required
• Certificate of Approval (COA) is required
• Security/Cleaning supervisory or management experience preferred
• Previous experience in a retail environment (highly regarded)
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• The ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage client relationships and stakeholders on site
• A proven track record of reliability and punctuality
