We are working with a diversified industrial business seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical reliability, maintenance and performance of a large-scale multi-site industrial power and infrastructure network.

This is a senior site-based role responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of critical electrical assets in a remote operational environment, while leading maintenance strategy, improving asset performance, and delivering reliability and capital upgrade initiatives.

The role offers broad technical ownership across generation, distribution and supporting electrical infrastructure within a complex operational setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical engineering function across a portfolio of critical industrial power and infrastructure assets
  • Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting and optimisation of generators, transformers, switchgear, protection systems and associated electrical infrastructure
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to maximise reliability and operational availability
  • Manage electrical shutdown planning, fault response and plant improvement projects
  • Provide technical leadership to electrical trades, operators and specialist contractors
  • Support capital upgrades, refurbishment works and future expansion projects across the broader asset network
  • Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety requirements and operational procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on asset integrity, operational efficiency and reliability
  • Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance and site leadership teams across the wider business

About You

You will be a practical and hands-on senior electrical engineering professional with strong experience across power generation, utilities or heavy industrial operations.

We Are Particularly Interested In Candidates With

  • Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering
  • Significant experience within utilities, power generation, mining, resources, manufacturing or heavy industrial electrical infrastructure
  • Strong technical knowledge of generators, transformers, high-voltage distribution, switchgear, protection and control systems
  • Proven experience leading maintenance and reliability strategies across critical electrical assets
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability within operational plant environments
  • Experience leading teams within remote, complex or operationally demanding environments
  • Exposure to remote site or international operations will be highly regarded
