In this role, you will:
Provide the online and real-time transactional integration that powers ASB. As an SAP Integration Architect – Software Consultant, you’ll provide hands-on leadership across SAP Integration - covering design, build, run and change. You’ll work closely with our SAP squads and partners to support the ongoing migration and modernisation of SAP S/4HANA (including the TRBK platform) from on-prem to cloud, while strengthening operational excellence across monitoring, performance tuning and high availability.

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
Strong hands on experience delivering SAP integration solutions in large scale environments and designing and implementing API led integrations, including:
- RESTful APIs
- SAP OData services
- Authentication and authorisation (OAuth2, mTLS, certificates).
Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA integration patterns and connectivity options in a banking or financial services company, with awareness of regulatory, risk and audit constraints. Strong understanding of data formats and protocols (JSON, XML, IDocs, RFCs) to support integrations across distributed and highly available architectures.
Ability to translate business requirements into integration designs and technical solutions. Further, strong troubleshooting skills across integration, data flow, and interface failures.
You'll be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and supporting SAP centric data integration solutions across core banking and downstream systems.
- Building and maintaining API based integrations (REST/JSON, OData, SOAP) between SAP and internal/external platforms.
- Implementing and supporting integration patterns including:
- Event driven and real time integrations
- Batch and near real time data synchronisation
- Publish/subscribe and request/response patterns
- Configuring and supporting SAP integration technologies such as:
- SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh)
- Or SAP BTP Integration Suite (formerly CPI/CPI-DS),
- SAP OData services and RFC integrations
- Partnering with domain architects to ensure integrations align to enterprise architecture, banking security standards, and data governance principles.
- Ensuring integrations meet non functional requirements including performance, resilience, auditability, and data integrity.
- Supporting integration testing, defect investigation, and production issue resolution across complex integration landscapes.
- Contributing to integration standards, design patterns, and runbooks, ensuring consistency across the SAP estate.
