The Opportunity

Join Gallagher's New Ventures team, where we're building the next generation of connected technology solutions for agriculture.

As our Software Test Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of products that are used by customers around the world. Working closely with Software Engineers, Product, Data and Design specialists, you'll help validate new features, identify opportunities for improvement and champion quality throughout the development lifecycle.

This isn't a traditional testing role sitting at the end of the process. You'll be involved from the outset, helping shape solutions, build automated testing capability and support the delivery of scalable cloud-based applications, connected ecosystems and data-driven products.

Operating within a venture-style environment, you'll have the opportunity to work with emerging technologies including cloud platforms, AI-assisted development tools, IoT systems and modern automation frameworks.

This is a role where you'll see the direct impact of your work, contribute to products that are genuinely changing how people operate, and help ensure we're delivering technology our customers can trust.

To Succeed In This Role You’ll Also Need

• Experience designing and executing manual and automated software testing across web, API or cloud-based applications.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
• Experience working with APIs, databases and modern software development environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the confidence to advocate for quality outcomes.
• Experience with AWS, AI-assisted development tools, IoT platforms or observability tools would be highly regarded.
