Painter

We are looking for experiend painters joining us!

The ideal candidates will have a passion for delivery exceptional painting and decorating services, a can do attitude and the ability to think outside the box.

This is a permanent full time role (minimum of 30hrs and up to maximum 50 hours weekly), with an hourly wage from $28 to $30, depending on skills and experience.

This role is based in Invercargill, but you may be required to travel or relocate to other locations within Southland region as well as Otago region from time to time.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

• Responsible for carring out a wide rang of residential, commercial, insurance reinstatement and maintenance painting to a high professional standard
• Applying paint and other finishes to a variety of surfaces to exterior substrates
• Preparation of surfaces, application of paint, and protective coatings, wallpaper installation, minor plaster repairs and maintaining quality workmanship inaccordance with company and client requirements.
• Calculating the amount of materials required for each project
• Repairing damaged surfaces
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Masking surfaces in preparation for airless spraying
• Maintain and uphold strict health and safety policies andprocedures

Requirements

• Minimum 3 yeas proven experience on painting
• Excellent knowledge of painting and decorating products andtechniques
• Be confident cutting in and using a roller
• Ability to operate an airless spray machine effi ciently would be anadvantage
• Ablity to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and high quality standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines while not compromising quality
• Have reliable transportation

You must be able to pass pre-employment checks, such as:
