We are looking for reliable and motivated drivers to operate specialist vehicles across the city during overnight shifts.

Shift Schedule

Tuesday to Saturday – 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM

About the Role

As a Night Shift Driver Operator, you'll operate specialist infrastructure vehicles including street sweepers and compactor trucks, helping maintain Wellington's streets, public spaces, and key infrastructure assets.

This is an active, hands-on role that combines driving with operational work. You'll work both independently and as part of a close-knit team to deliver essential services across the city.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate compactor trucks, street sweepers, and other specialist vehicles

• Complete scheduled cleaning and maintenance routes

• Collect rubbish, debris, and litter from public areas

• Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections

• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation

• Follow all safety, traffic, and operational procedures

• Represent InterGroup professionally while working in public spaces

What We're Looking For

• Full Class 2 licence minimum (Class 4 advantageous)

• Safe and confident driving skills

• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

• Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors

• Strong commitment to health and safety

• Experience operating heavy vehicles or specialist equipment is preferred but not essential
