As a Storeperson Workshop, you are responsible for coordinating activity to ensure the safe and efficient running of the Workshop Store.

Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities

  • Create, receipt and track Purchase Orders in a timely manner.
  • Ensure costs are allocated appropriately to the correct jobs and tasks.
  • Order parts for the Workshop, Engineering, and other divisions as required.
  • Arrange delivery of goods and the timely return of unwanted items.
  • Collect or deliver urgent items from suppliers when required, using available company vehicles.
  • Issue parts to jobs or customers and ensure all items are accurately recorded.
  • Identify and source hard-to-find parts, while seeking cost-effective purchasing options.
  • Maintain the security of all items held in store.
  • Ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained for high-use shelf items and consumables.
  • Monitor and manage slow-moving stock to ensure only current and necessary items are retained.
  • Keep shelves organised, tidy, and regularly cleared of obsolete stock.
  • Order and manage oil and fuel stock levels.
  • Liaise with sales representatives in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store and control specialist workshop tools.

  • Previous experience in a similar role (preferred)
  • Good general computer skills
  • Previous experience in a customer service role
  • Good planning and organising skills
  • Current Class 1 driver licence
