About the role

The PR Account Executive is a valued member of the comms team. We’re after a tried and true PR gun, but we’re anything but traditional. As a truly integrated team, we deliver work that spans PR, social, events and activation, so the right person will be up for putting their PR lens across all aspects of the business. You'll be working across some of the world's biggest brands (think adidas and Sephora) alongside homegrown icons like Trade Me. No two days look the same, and that's exactly how we like it.

Key tasks include

  • Managing a portfolio of client accounts day-to-day, acting as a trusted point of contact and keeping things running smoothly across multiple campaigns and retainers.
  • Writing sharp, client-ready materials, press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, talking points, and coverage reports.
  • Developing and pitching compelling stories to NZ media, building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, editors, and content creators.
  • Tracking and measuring the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
  • Support the planning and execution of campaigns, events, and activations from brief through to wrap.
  • Monitoring media coverage, flagging opportunities, and contributing to reporting and performance tracking
  • Collaborating closely with team members on strategy and creative concepts, and always being able to bring your own perspectives and ideas to the table.

From you, we can expect:

  • 2–3 years' experience in a PR agency or communications role
  • A genuine love of what we do - you consume media and know who's writing what, and you’re passionate about consumer brands and how they show up
  • Exceptional written communication skills across multiple formats and tones
  • Confidence in pitching to media and comfortable building relationships with journalists
  • You’re highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Someone who has fun working collaboratively with your own team, the wider agency, and our clients.
