The Electoral Commission is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Enrolment Support Officer to contribute to the delivery of enrolment services and support the accuracy and integrity of the electoral roll.
In this role, you will provide key administrative and customer support, assist with the management of unpublished roll applications, and help ensure enquiries and requests are handled efficiently and professionally. Youll work closely with the wider Enrolment team, supporting both operational delivery and continuous improvement of processes.

This is a fixed term role until November 2026, and the salary is $61,550 per annum.
You must be available to travel daily to The Terrace, Wellington.

- Provide administrative support to core enrolment operations, including scanning and processing documentation, supporting internal requests, and assisting the wider team as needed.
- Support unpublished roll processes, review and process applications, liaise with key contacts, provide guidance, and contribute to improving processes and procedures.
- Manage and triage customer enquiries, resolve requests in line with Commission processes, and ensure all interactions are recorded and tracked through systems such as Zendesk.
- Identify opportunities to enhance administrative, enrolment, and customer service processes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and manage elector information in line with the Privacy Act and Commission policies.
- Work collaboratively, build strong relationships, and uphold the Commissions values, including professionalism, cultural competence, and political neutrality.

- Experience in administration, customer service, or operational support roles.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and process information accurately.
- Good organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work effectively.

- Confidence using systems and technology, including case management or CRM tools.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify improvements and solve problems.
- A commitment to integrity, cultural competence, and public service.
