South Pacific Holiday Tour Limited is a New Zealand-based travel company specialising in inbound and outbound travel services, customised tour packages, educational tours, family holidays, corporate travel, and tailored tourism experiences for international visitors.

Our company has built a strong reputation within the local and international Chinese-speaking communities through the delivery of high-quality tourism products and personalised travel services.

Due to continued business growth and increasing demand from overseas markets, we are seeking a full-time Marketing Specialist to support the promotion of our travel products and strengthen our market presence in New Zealand and international markets.

The main responsibilities of the Marketing Specialist include:

  • Conducting market research and analysing tourism industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities;
  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the company's tourism products and services;
  • Identifying target markets and recommending promotional initiatives to increase customer engagement and market share;
  • Assisting in the development, positioning, and promotion of tourism products, including guided tours, customised travel packages, educational tours, and corporate travel solutions;
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with travel agents, educational institutions, community organisations, and corporate clients;
  • Preparing marketing proposals, promotional materials, presentations, advertising content, and product information;
  • Coordinating online and offline marketing activities, including social media marketing, digital campaigns, exhibitions, community events, and tourism promotions;
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and providing recommendations for improvement;
  • Collecting customer feedback and market intelligence to support product development and strategic business decisions;
  • Promoting the company's tourism products through direct engagement with prospective customers and business partners;
  • Representing the company at trade shows, tourism events, and business networking activities.

To be successful in this position, applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher qualification in Marketing, Business, Tourism Management, International Business, Communications, or a related field;

OR

  • At least three years of relevant work experience in marketing, tourism promotion, tourism product development, travel consulting, tourism sales, business development, or related fields;
  • Sound understanding of tourism markets, customer behaviour, and tourism product promotion;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing marketing initiatives;
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills;
  • Ability to analyse market information and prepare business reports and recommendations;
  • Experience with digital marketing, social media platforms, content creation, and online promotion would be advantageous;
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is preferred due to the company's customer base and international business operations;
  • Ability to provide reference(s) from previous employers for reference checking.
