Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi – About the Role
If you are passionate about education and sharing your industry experience in electrical engineering, this could be the role for you!
You’ll teach and support learners across electrical engineering programmes, combining your technical expertise with modern teaching approaches. From planning engaging sessions to providing meaningful feedback, you’ll create a positive, inclusive learning environment where students thrive.
You’ll also contribute to programme development, stay connected with industry, and play a part in continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and learning
Ngā Pūkenga Me Ngā Wheako – Skills and Experience
- A relevant qualification (degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience)
- Current industry knowledge and hands-on experience
- Teaching experience is a bonus – support is provided if you’re new to teaching
- Solid background in electrical engineering (or closely related field)
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, practical way
- Comfortable using tools, technology and systems used in industry
- Strong communication skills – you can connect with a wide range of people
- Organised and able to manage workload, deadlines and admin tasks
- Passion for helping others learn and succeed
