Enabling Services brings together the core functions that help the Treasury work smoothly and effectively every day. We ensure the organisation has the systems, people practices, technology, workplaces and governance it needs to operate well, engages effectively with Ministers and stakeholders, and uphold an open and transparent Treasury. We help the organisation plan, prioritise and deliver its strategic objectives through integrated business planning, performance reporting and risk management. Working alongside business groups, we lift capability, strengthen systems and support continuous improvement across the organisation.
Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
As a Unit Manager, you will bring strong operational leadership across service desk and end-user support, including incident and request management, asset and licensing control, and service performance. You will embed ITIL-aligned practices, meet service levels, and drive continuous improvement through data, insights, and customer feedback.
Working in partnership across I&T, you will support technology initiatives and organisational change, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations while maintaining a secure ICT environment through strong security practices and risk management.
As a people leader, you will build a high-performing team, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and partner with stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality, customer-focused outcomes.
Ō pūmanawa | About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience leading and developing customer service teams. Including lifting service desk performance.
- Familiarity with ICT asset and configuration management practices, including software licensing compliance and lifecycle control.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills to operate effectively in a complex, customer-focused environment.
- Proven experience applying ITIL processes for incident, problem management in complex environments.
