Traffic Management Operator / Labourer
Stuart Tarbotton Contractors
To safely implement, maintain, monitor and remove temporary traffic management (TTM) on Tarbotton Land & Civil worksites and client projects, while assisting with general civil construction and labouring activities as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Full NZ Class 2 Driver Licence.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a practising STMS.
- Current STMS qualification (Cat A/B/C as applicable).
- Sound knowledge of NZ Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (NZGTTM) and industry best practice.
- Experience setting up, monitoring and removing temporary traffic management.
- Ability to read and implement Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual labouring duties.
- Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Pride in completing work to a high standard
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate traffic management vehicles and equipment.
- Set up, maintain, adjust and remove temporary traffic management in accordance with approved TMPs.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor traffic management throughout works.
- Complete traffic management documentation and records.
- Liaise with site supervisors, STMS personnel, clients and road users.
- Ensure all traffic management equipment is maintained, clean and fit for purpose.
- Assist civil crews with labouring and general site duties when traffic management activities are not required.
- Participate in toolbox meetings, training and safety initiatives.
- Report hazards, incidents and near misses promptly.
