About The Mahi (Role)

We are looking for an experienced clinician to lead our North Shore clinic, combining clinical practice with leadership responsibility.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills, influence clinic performance, and support a high-performing multidisciplinary team.

Working alongside the Upper North Island Regional Manager, you will lead a team of 3 Physiotherapists, 1 Hand Therapist, 1 Psychologist, and 2 Administrators, ensuring excellent client outcomes, strong team culture, and sustainable clinic growth.

This role includes:

  • Approximately 0.8 FTE clinical practice and 0.2 FTE leadership responsibilities
  • Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team
  • Driving clinic performance, business growth, and referral relationships
  • Managing day-to-day clinic operations and financial performance
  • Partnering with regional and national leaders to deliver strategic initiatives

Ready to Lead?

We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist (4+ years of clinical experience) with a strong understanding of ACC contracts to step into a leadership role within our team.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy
  • Current Annual Practising Certificate, Professional Body Membership, and Indemnity Insurance
  • Strong communication skills and confident decision-making ability
  • Ability to build relationships and network with referrers and subcontractors to grow services
  • Understanding of the financial aspects of private practice and team leadership
  • Knowledge and appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Strong organisation, problem-solving skills, and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
  • A respectful, supportive approach with the ability to inspire others
  • Previous leadership or team management experience is an advantage (not essential)
