As we accelerate our global growth agenda, we are seeking an exceptional sales leader to join us as General Manager - Global Sales. This pivotal role will help deliver our strategy and strengthen our position as the world’s leading supplier of premium wool.
The Role
Based in Christchurch, New Zealand, this is a high-impact executive leadership opportunity to shape global demand for branded fibre and deliver significant commercial outcomes.
As General Manager - Global Sales, you will lead the global growth strategy for branded fibre, expand demand across international B2B markets, and build enduring partnerships with leading brands, manufacturers and supply chain partners.
You will be responsible for
- Global growth strategy and delivery: Set and execute the global sales strategy for branded fibre, identifying priority markets, segments and high-value opportunities.
- Demand generation: Develop new partners, pathways and growth models, and lead engagement with brands and supply chain partners to create commercially viable demand.
- Commercial conversion and execution: Coordinate cross-functional input to turn opportunities into executable contracts and convert complex, multi-stakeholder deals with clarity and pace.
- Strategic account leadership: Retain and grow existing branded contracts and priority accounts, strengthening long-term partnerships that deliver sustained commercial value.
- People leadership: Build a high-performing global sales culture grounded in accountability, ownership and commercial discipline, while developing capability across strategic selling, pipeline management and conversion.
The Person
You are a commercially astute and strategically minded sales leader with the credibility to build global B2B demand, lead high-performing teams and deliver results in complex international markets.
You will bring
- Significant experience in senior B2B sales, business development or growth leadership roles
- A strong track record of building and converting demand in international markets, ideally within the textile, apparel or adjacent value-chain sectors
- Knowledge of wool and the natural fibre sector, with the ability to translate product value into commercial opportunity
- Highly developed commercial judgement, strategic account management and negotiation capability
- Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to build capability, inspire performance and lead through complexity
- Strong relationship skills and experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities across the value chain
Experience in the wool, fibre, textile or apparel sectors will be highly regarded, particularly where you have built strong B2B partnerships and delivered commercial growth in international markets.
