About The Role
We are currently seeking a Manaaki Receptionist/Administrator to join our team to provide effective and efficient reception and administrative services to Manaaki Day Stay Facility.
Manaaki by Mercy is a purpose-built day surgery facility, with two operating theatres, associated auxiliary and recovery areas. We receive patients from a variety of surgical specialities including orthopaedics, endoscopy, ophthalmology and plastics, urology and more.
This is a permanent, part-time (0.6FTE) position to be worked Monday - Friday.
Specific duties include
- Ensuring a welcoming environment and delivering essential reception services
- Providing high-quality, timely administrative support including bookings, maintaining accurate patient information, records and documentation as well as financial administration support as required.
- Handle patient records and information securely and according to privacy/confidentiality legislation
Skills And Experience
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a team environment, have excellent organisational and communication skills and have strong administrative capabilities. You will also need to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent computer skills, with an understanding of office systems and procedures.
- The ability to plan, organise, prioritise and solve problems effectively
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to use initiative when needed.
- A high level of integrity and respect for patients, their information and confidentiality.
- Experience with patient management systems or a background in the health sector would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of medical terminology would be desirable
