Hoticulture Supervisor

We’re seeking an experienced Supervisor – Open Spaces to lead a team delivering essential services across pest plant control, vegetation management, and track maintenance.

Leading a team of approximately 16 people (including 8 Team Leaders and Trades Assistants), you’ll play a key role in ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on people, safety, and operational delivery. Your day will involve checking in with teams, ensuring resourcing is in place, coordinating daily work priorities, and supporting your

people in the field.

You’ll also contribute to auditing, PPE management, and health & safety, including injury management and promoting a positive team culture.

You are a confident and approachable leader who enjoys working outdoors and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

You Bring

  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience, ideally managing larger teams
  • The ability to engage, communicate, and build strong relationships with your team
  • A strong focus on driving positive team culture and safety outcomes
  • Experience in open space, facilities, or vegetation maintenance environments

Skills And Experience

  • Knowledge of open space or outdoor contracting environments
  • Experience in vegetation control, maintenance, or similar industries
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Desirable (but Not Essential)

  • Horticulture Level 2 qualification
  • Grow Safe Certificate
  • Forklift licence
  • Chainsaw qualification (training can be provided)
