We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute National Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across New Zealand.

This role is pivotal in identifying and securing new business opportunities, strengthening Linfox’s market position, and building long-term partnerships with customers. You will lead the development and execution of growth strategies, manage a strong pipeline, and work cross-functionally to deliver tailored supply chain solutions aligned to Linfox’s strategic objectives.

Ngā kawenga matua | Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver national business development strategies aligned to Linfox’s growth objectives.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities, identifying and securing new business.
  • Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals, tenders, and commercial submissions.
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships with a focus on value creation.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop innovative, customer-focused supply chain solutions.
  • Represent Linfox in market forums, strengthening brand presence and identifying strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Ensure all business development activities align with governance, risk, and compliance requirements.

You are a proven business development leader with strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering growth in transport, logistics, FMCG, or a related industry.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience in senior business development or commercial roles, delivering sustainable growth outcomes.
  • Strategic thinking capability, with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and commercial expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • Proven experience leading complex tenders, proposals, and negotiations.
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex environments, managing competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and risk frameworks.
