About The Role
If you're an experienced pricing analyst ready for a role with real ownership, this could be the next move.
As a Senior Pricing Analyst at Southern Cross, you'll lead the day-to-day of pricing implementation, deliver analysis that shapes underwriting and pricing decisions, and be the subject matter expert within the team, while working closely with the Pricing Lead on complex or strategic matters. You'll also mentor the analysts around you and drive improvements to how the team works.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll contribute through a mix of hands-on analysis, implementation leadership, and collaboration:
- Managing pricing implementation activities end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Delivering high-quality pricing analysis and advice in close partnership with the Pricing Lead
- Analysing portfolio performance and recommending changes to pricing and underwriting rules
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather data and surface insights
- Mentoring analysts, building team capability and promoting best practice
- Improving pricing tools, processes and automation
- Contributing subject matter expertise across pricing projects
- Supporting Fair Conduct Programme activities, including remediation
- Reviewing and providing feedback on work completed by other analysts
What You'll Bring

- Strong analytical experience in insurance, consulting, or a related field — pricing, modelling, or actuarial
- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end pricing work, from scoping and modelling through to implementation
- Experience using SQL, coding skills (R or Python), and Excel/VBA experience
- Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, or related discipline
- Knowledge of compliance and governance requirements
- The communication and stakeholder skills to translate complex analysis into clear, confident advice
- Experience coaching or mentoring junior analysts, with a genuine interest in developing others
