Commerical Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Commercial Cleaner to join our team and help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across a range of commercial and residential sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cleaning duties, maintaining equipment, and ensuring all work is completed to company and health & safety standards.

• Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general commercial cleaning duties across various sites.
  • Clean and sanitize offices, common areas, restrooms, kitchens, and other commercial premises.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and polish floors.
  • Dust ceilings, light fittings, countertops, furniture, and other surfaces.
  • Clean windows, glass surfaces, and other fixtures.
  • Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste appropriately.
  • Restock consumables and cleaning supplies where required.
  • Operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers and buffing machines.
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
  • Follow work schedules and instructions provided by management.
  • Report maintenance issues, damages, or supply shortages.
  • Travel between work locations as required.
  • Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Perform any other duties reasonably requested by management.

  Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant cleaning experience or a bachelor qualification in any field.
  • Experience using commercial cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Knowledge of operating floor scrubbers, buffers, and related machinery.
  • Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence (or equivalent).
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Well-organized, reliable, and professional.
  • Must be available to work weekends, public holidays, early mornings, late evenings, and night shifts as rostered.
  • Ability to provide at least two positive employment references.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Must pass pre-employment checks, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

  Work Schedule

  • Rotating roster
  • Monday to Sunday shifts as required
  • Weekend availability required
  • Early morning, evening, sometimes on call and night shifts may be required
