About The Role

As we gear up for an exciting future, we're looking for a driven, strategic and inspirational

Sales Manager to lead our Lower Central Region Sales Team to new heights. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you'll be active in the market, working closely with your team, customers, and the wider management group.

You'll bring strong business acumen and the ability to adapt to customer needs, while developing and maintaining a high-performing, motivated sales team. Success in this role will be driven by your energy, commitment, and hunger to achieve results.

Leading a team of Territory Managers, you'll play a key role in regional strategy and collaborate closely with Branch Managers, the Regional Manager, and customers to drive growth and opportunities. You'll coach, mentor and actively support your team, while also identifying new business opportunities.

Please note, this role supports 14 branches from New Plymouth to Blenheim and includes regular travel and overnight stays.

  • Bring ideally 3+ years' experience in a similar role, with the capability to deliver across key responsibilities
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • Strong time management
  • Strategic acumen with strong numeracy and commercial insight
  • A successful track record in winning new business
  • A hands-on, energetic approach to coaching and motivating teams
  • The presence and confidence to manage the regional business autonomously
  • Numeracy to understand the financials, set budgets, and report effectively
  • Exposure to the plumbing or wider construction/trade sector is preferred
