We’re looking for a Chapter Lead - Delivery Management to provide senior leadership and stewardship of delivery capability across the organisation. This is a pivotal role where you’ll lift leadership maturity, embed consistent delivery standards, and enable high‑quality, predictable outcomes at scale.

Te mahi ki ASB | What you’ll do

Reporting to the Chapter Area Lead, you’ll lead a cohort of senior Delivery Leads, setting clear expectations for leadership impact, judgement and accountability. You’ll be accountable for delivery capability, performance and professional development across the chapter, while partnering closely with senior stakeholders in a complex, matrix environment.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading senior delivery capability: Building and sustaining strong delivery leadership capability, with clear standards for professional maturity, decision‑making and accountability.
  • Embedding delivery standards and practices: Developing, governing and embedding delivery methodologies and leadership expectations to ensure consistent, high‑quality execution.
  • Coaching and developing leaders: Enabling measurable improvement through advanced coaching, structured feedback and development planning at a senior leadership level.
  • Quality and risk stewardship: Providing oversight of delivery quality and proactive risk management, ensuring risks are identified early, owned clearly and managed effectively.
  • Strategic partnership and influence: Partnering with peers and senior leaders across portfolios to support multi‑year planning, dependency management and enterprise outcomes.
  • Sound judgement and decision‑making: Applying critical thinking and commercial awareness to influence decisions with cross‑portfolio or enterprise impact.
  • Matrix leadership: Balancing chapter accountability with delivery demand, organisational priorities and competing dependencies.
  • Engagement and culture: Modelling inclusive, values‑led leadership that drives engagement, psychological safety, collaboration and accountability.
  • Capability uplift and change: Applying structured change thinking to lift delivery maturity and embed sustainable ways of working across the team.
  • Tooling and consistency: Contributing to decisions on AI delivery and tooling and platforms to enhance adoption, quality, efficiency and transparency.

  • Expert capability in delivery methodologies, planning and dependancy management, critical thinking and decision‑making.
  • Advanced strengths in coaching, influencing, communication and matrix leadership.
  • A strong track record of risk stewardship, quality oversight and stakeholder confidence‑building.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to influence outcomes at an enterprise level.
  • A leadership style that is calm, credible and outcomes‑focused — even in ambiguity.
