Product Owner – Data Build Squad

About the role | Mō te tūranga
As a Product Owner, you will shape and deliver outcomes within the Tribe. You will define a clear 6 to 12 month roadmap, guide the squad towards agreed goals and balance customer value, business priorities and delivery discipline.
This is a role where you will bring clarity to complex problems, make confident decisions and lead delivery that creates real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own a 6 to 12 month roadmap aligned to product and Tribe priorities
- Lead delivery, ensuring outcomes are achieved in line with agreed goals
- Drive prioritisation and trade-off decisions using data, insight and sound judgement
- Lead discovery to shape direction, validate ideas and reduce delivery risk
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide clear direction
- Oversee backlog, risk and controls to support consistent delivery
About you | Mōu
You are an experienced Product Owner who can see the bigger picture while staying close to delivery. You are comfortable making decisions, influencing stakeholders and guiding teams through competing priorities.
You bring a steady, structured approach and take pride in lifting capability around you and strengthening how product is delivered.
Key Skills And Experience
- Proven experience owning roadmaps and delivering product or service outcomes
- Strong prioritisation skills, including making clear, evidence-based trade-offs
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience leading discovery and using insight to shape direction
- Good understanding of agile delivery, backlog management, risk and controls
