As our Chapter Area Lead - Business Analysis, you’ll play a pivotal enterprise leadership role, shaping how the BA capability enables strategy, supports decision-making and delivers value across the bank.
Te mahi ki ASB | What you’ll do
As Chapter Area Lead you’ll provide enterprise-level leadership across the Business Analysis craft, accountable for enhancing capability, embedding standards, and enabling consistent, high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Setting strategic direction for BA capability, performance, Delivery tooling and workforce planning across the practice
- Leading and enabling Chapter Leads, holding them accountable for leadership quality, capability uplift, engagement and delivery outcomes
- Governing BA standards and practices to ensure consistency in approach, solution assessment and business process modelling
- Owning practice effectiveness, including outcome measurement, value realisation, and continuous uplift of delivery quality
- Championing systems thinking and structured problem solving across the craft to support better decision-making and outcomes
- Leading strategic decisions on tooling and AI, ensuring ethical, consistent and effective use to enhance insight, efficiency and enterprise outcomes
- Partnering with senior leaders to align BA capability to current and future priorities
- Providing strong risk ownership, proactively identifying and responding to emerging risk themes across the practice

- Expert-level capability across Business Analysis disciplines, including requirements definition and management, solution assessment and validation, and business process modelling
- Advanced leadership capability, with strengths in decision-making, influencing, collaboration, matrix leadership and managing multiple priorities
- Proven experience establishing and governing methodologies and standards while enabling teams to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes
- Strong focus on measuring effectiveness and driving value realisation
- Sound risk management capability, with a focus on achieving better risk outcomes
- Confidence operating at executive and senior leadership level, with strong credibility and presence
- A genuine passion for developing people, building succession and sustaining practice health through engagement and capability uplift
