Senior Digital Experience Analyst - Financial Crime

At ASB, our Financial Crime platform plays a critical role in protecting our customers, communities and the bank from fraud, scams and other financial crimes. We’re looking for a Senior Digital Experience Analyst to join our Financial Crime domain, working within a complex, highly regulated banking environment.

This is a delivery-focused, squad-embedded role where you will use data and analysis to shape what gets built, how it is delivered, and how success is measured. You’ll work closely with engineers, product owners and designers to drive clear, actionable insights that improve customer and system outcomes.

About The Role

You'll join a Financial Crime-aligned Agile squad focused on strengthening fraud prevention and customer protection across our digital channels. The role plays a key part in shaping and expanding behavioural intelligence and fraud detection capabilities across customer journeys, helping to protect customers from fraud and scams and other emerging fraud threats.

Working closely with other teams, you’ll identify opportunities to embed fraud prevention capabilities into customer digital journeys using data and insights to influence delivery and ensure successful implementation and adoption

What you’ll be doing

  • Analyse system data to identify opportunities to introduce new capabilities across digital customer journeys, improving both customer protection and fraud prevention outcomes.
  • Evaluate end-to-end customer journeys to identify high-risk interactions and recommend where intelligence and risk-based security controls can be embedded.
  • Lead discovery and requirements gathering activities for new initiatives, translating business needs into actionable outcomes for delivery teams.
  • Identify gaps in existing digital journeys and develop recommendations to extend risk assessment and customer protection capabilities across additional channels and touchpoints.
  • Ensure work is well defined, prioritised and ready for sprint execution
  • Define success measures and track outcomes against expected benefits
  • Support release and change activities to ensure smooth delivery and adoption
  • Influence squad delivery to ensure solutions meet requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery practices and ways of working

About You

Technical experience we’re looking for

  • Experience analysing and identifying opportunities to improve customer and business outcomes.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including experience using SQL or similar tools to investigate trends, customer behaviour, and operational performance.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including backlog refinement, requirements gathering, user story creation, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience documenting business processes, customer journeys, and functional requirements.
  • Knowledge of digital platforms, system integrations, APIs, and technology delivery practices.
  • Experience using data, customer insights, and performance metrics to support decision-making and prioritisation.
  • Experience working on digital transformation, customer experience, fraud prevention, risk, security, or financial crime initiatives.

Nice to have

  • Experience within banking, financial services, or fintech environments.
  • Exposure to fraud prevention, scam prevention, or digital identity
  • Experience working with fraud detection technologies.
  • Familiarity with digital analytics platforms.
  • Experience working with large-scale digital platforms and complex enterprise environments.
  • Understanding of financial crime, fraud operations, scam prevention, or regulatory requirements within financial services.
