RainbowYOUTH is looking for a passionate and outgoing peer support worker to work with our communities in Te Moana-a-Toi! This is a fixed-term role, working 32 hours from July 2026 to August 2027, and an exciting opportunity work closely with our rainbow young people in the wider Bay of Plenty region.
As the Te Moana-a-Toi Peer Support Worker at RainbowYOUTH, you are responsible for providing on-the-ground peer support for young people and their whānau accessing RainbowYOUTH’s services and being able to connect them to youth services in the region. The Te Moana-a-Toi Peer Support Worker will have a solid understanding of the needs of queer, gender diverse, takatāpui and intersex young people accessing our services. They will ensure requests for support are met or referred as appropriate, and will ensure consistent delivery of 1:1 peer support.
