Transformation Design and Delivery - Director
PwC New Zealand
Kia ora,
At PwC, our purpose is clear: to build trust in society and solve important problems.
This is a place to keep growing. You'll learn from the best, take on meaningful challenges, and make a lasting impact for our clients, our communities, and Aotearoa.
Ngā kōrero mo tēnei tūranga / About the role
Join PwC's Transformation Design & Delivery (TDD) team in Auckland and play a leading role in shaping the future of transformation across Aotearoa.
This is an opportunity to operate at the most senior levels of our clients' organisations, partnering with C-suite executives and Boards to shape strategy, influence enterprise-wide outcomes, and lead some of New Zealand's most significant transformation programmes.
As a Director, you will do more than oversee delivery. You will help organisations navigate complex change, build trusted executive relationships, grow new opportunities, and contribute to the continued evolution of PwC's transformation practice.
We are looking for leaders who want to make a meaningful impact - not only for clients, but also for our people, our practice, and the wider market.
Make a substantial impact in the following areas:
- Transformation Leadership and Governance: Provide executive leadership across major transformation portfolios, setting strategic direction, establishing effective governance, and ensuring programmes deliver sustainable business value.
- Programme Leadership and Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to executives and Boards, providing independent challenge, insight, and guidance on programme design, performance, and delivery. Lead intervention and recovery efforts in complex or high-risk environments.
- Organisational and Technology Change: Shape enterprise-wide transformation strategies that enable organisations to successfully adopt change, realise benefits, and build long-term capability.
- Practice Growth and Development: Help shape the future of the TDD practice by developing senior talent, strengthening our methodologies, contributing to thought leadership, and enhancing how we deliver transformation.
- Client and Market Impact: Build enduring executive relationships, originate and grow opportunities, and contribute to expanding PwC's presence and reputation in the transformation market.
- Reimagine how we show up for our team: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and care, helping create an environment where our people can thrive and perform at their best.
Ngā pūkenga ka kawea mai e koe, ka whakawhanakehia rānei i tēnei tūranga / Skills you will bring or develop in this role

In-depth knowledge and practical application of Portfolio, Programme & Project Management (3PM), PRINCE2, PMI/PMBOK, Agile (SAFe, ICAgile, Scrum) is advantageous.
- The ability to influence, challenge, and advise senior executives and Boards, building trusted relationships and shaping strategic decisions in complex environments.
- Significant experience in consulting or professional services at a senior leadership level, with broad exposure across clients, industries, and transformation challenges.
- Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams, with a passion for coaching future leaders and creating an inclusive, collaborative culture.
- Strong commercial acumen, with a proven track record of driving growth, originating opportunities, and leading business development at scale.
