The role

The GTM Planning Lead – NZ is a newly created, high-impact role at the intersection of commercial strategy, innovation execution, and integrated business planning. Based in New Zealand, you connect the NZ GTM team with the planning cycles that bring new products to market on time and on strategy. You own the regional volume forecast, orchestrate S&OP rhythms, and ensure GTM plans reflect supply, demand, and commercial opportunity.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Volume Forecasting & S&OP Leadership

  • Own the overall volume forecast — delivering an aligned, unbiased, and accurate forecast that reflects true business assumptions.
  • Lead the collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver an input-led volume forecast within the S&OP cycle.
  • Drive plan-by-exception as a standard operating principle within S&OP, leveraging technology to its full capability.
  • Present and clearly explain the composition and assumptions of the volume forecast to senior management through compelling storytelling.
  • Monitor adherence to forecast inputs and key metrics, driving a continuous improvement agenda.
  • Partner with the offshore Planning team to review Forecast KPIs and close performance gaps.
  • Track and report on key planning KPIs including Dispatch Rate/DIFOT, Forecast Accuracy (FA), Forecast Bias (FB), Extreme Bias, Volume-Value Disconnect, Inventory (DOH/Value), and Business Waste

Innovation & NPD Launch Planning

  • Drive robust business case development for innovation, tracking and communicating business case evolution and performance to support inventory optimisation and business waste reduction.
  • Lead end-to-end GTM planning for new product launches for NZ, coordinating across Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Category teams.
  • Build and maintain launch readiness trackers, ensuring key milestones are met and risks are surfaced early.
  • Translate innovation briefs into executable GTM plans — including channel strategy, ranging recommendations, sell-in timelines, and in-store execution requirements.
  • Conduct post-launch reviews and feed learnings back into future planning processes.

Stakeholder & Customer Collaboration

  • Bring together cross-functional stakeholder groups to orchestrate trade-off decisions that drive business performance.
  • Lead regular customer collaboration sessions.
  • Collaborate to address product availability constraints, crisis management, and gap management.
  • Build strong working relationships across Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Category teams

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Has experience in export planning, or a demonstrated desire and ability to develop this capability and S&OP processes and can operate confidently within an FMCG or similar fast-moving business environment (3-5 years).
  • Brings strong skills in
  • digital analytics tools, particularly Power BI
  • ERP systems and finished goods demand planning platforms.
  • demand planning systems such as Kinaxis or ACTPM is preferred but not essential.
  • key planning KPIs: Dispatch Rate/DIFOT, Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Extreme Bias, Volume-Value Disconnect, Inventory (DOH/Value), and Business Waste
  • Autonomy and stakeholder management with competing priorities, and always with business outcomes in front of mind.
  • communication and storytelling — able to translate complex data into clear narratives for senior leadership.
  • Initiative-taking and solutions-oriented, with an ability to perform in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Commercial curiosity with a genuine interest in how great products get to market.
  • Thinks end-to-end and takes ownerships for results
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organisation
  • Values collaboration, clarity and low-ego ways of working
  • University degree required; Supply Chain qualification (e.g. APICS) is an advantage.
