About The Role

We’re looking for a Health and Safety Workshop Coordinator to lead and support Health & Safety performance across our Mechanical & Engineering workshop network throughout New Zealand.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with workshop leaders and operational teams to drive a strong safety culture, ensure compliance, and continuously improve safety systems and practices. You’ll play a key role in keeping our people safe and supporting consistent H&S standards across all workshop sites.

Location: Tauranga Port

Status: Permanent Full-time, with flexibility for regular national travel

Specific Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support H&S performance across all workshop sites
  • Ensure compliance with safety systems, policies, and procedures
  • Support hazard identification, incident investigations, and corrective actions
  • Monitor and improve safety performance and reporting
  • Conduct site visits, audits, and provide on-the-ground support
  • Work closely with workshop managers to embed best practice
  • Build strong relationships across operations and H&S teams

Who we're after

  • Proven experience in Health & Safety, ideally in a mechanical or industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of H&S systems, compliance, and risk management
  • Confident working across multiple sites and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Proactive, practical, and solutions-focused approach
  • Willingness to travel nationally as required
