DeVere New Zealand provides expert financial advice for expatriates and locals, offering wealth management, retirement planning (including UK pension transfers schemes and investment), tax solutions, and investment opportunities. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Branch Director.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the office and all personnel and providing comprehensive support to the team. The candidate may need to travel to clients within Auckland and outer regions, as required.

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year dependent on qualification and experience plus on target earnings of $70,000 + based on performance plus TBC% of office earnings.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the deVere New Zealand business, including all personnel.
  • Responsible for all operational activities, branch marketing and regulatory compliance.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with staff.
  • Ensure staff analysing clients' financial situations accurately and recommend appropriate financial solutions and investment strategies.
  • Managing and growing a portfolio of clients through effective client communication and proactive branch management.
  • Travelling to clients within Auckland and outer regions, as required.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest financial products, services, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • You will either have a New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 or will be prepared to sit and pass relevant industry qualifications within 12 months.
  • At least 5 years relevant experience including UK Commercial Banking experience is essential.
  • Relevant degree with focus on Financial Accounting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services, investment strategies, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and meeting performance metrics.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity.
  • Knowledge of United Kingdon financial products and services.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand financial regulations and industry standards preferred.
