Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Senior Android Developer, you will play a key role in the design, development and ongoing improvement of MetService’s Android applications. You will work closely with backend engineers, designers and product managers to build high-quality, performant and resilient mobile experiences used by New Zealanders every day.
This role combines hands-on development with senior technical contribution, helping shape standards, provide guidance for how we build and operate Android mobile products.
In This Role You Will
- Design, build and enhance secure, high-quality Android features using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
- Partner with backend engineers, designers, product managers and testers to deliver resilient mobile experiences.
- Shape Android engineering standards, support other developers and improve the way we build and operate our apps.

- You bring deep experience building native Android apps with Kotlin and modern architecture patterns.
- You have strong collaboration and communication skills and can work effectively across disciplines.
