Data & Analytics Lead

Are you a commercially minded data leader who can turn complex information into clear, practical insights? We’re looking for a Data & Analytics Lead to join our Support Office team and lead the delivery of reporting, dashboards, predictive insights and AI-enabled analysis that support better business decisions.
Reporting to the Head of Data and Analytics, you’ll work closely with teams across Supply Chain, Retail Operations, Merchandise, Property, Finance and IT to translate business priorities into meaningful analytics outcomes. You’ll also lead and develop a small team, support Briscoe Group’s data strategy, and help ensure our data processes are reliable, secure and well-governed.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead day-to-day analytics delivery, reporting, dashboarding and model development.
- Translate business priorities into clear analytics outcomes, KPIs and success measures.
- Use data, predictive analytics, automation and AI-enabled methods to identify trends, opportunities, risks and business improvement opportunities.
- Provide practical insights and recommendations to support commercial, supply chain, retail operations and finance decision-making.
- Support the use and improvement of Briscoe Group’s cloud data environment, data feeds, systems and analytical datasets, ensuring they are reliable, secure and fit for purpose.
- Provide analytics support for projects, change initiatives and transformation activity.
- Lead, coach and develop a small data and analytics team.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
About You
You’ll be a commercially minded data professional with strong technical capability, natural curiosity and the ability to turn complex analysis into clear, practical recommendations.
You Will Ideally Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics or a related field.
- At least five years’ experience in a data, analytics or insights role.
- Previous experience leading or coaching a team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into practical business recommendations.
- Strong planning, prioritisation and time management skills.
- Confidence building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Initiative, flexibility and adaptability.
You’ll Also Bring Experience With
- Data analysis, reporting and visualisation.
- SQL and Python or R.
- Cloud data solutions, data infrastructure, data feeds and analytical datasets.
- Supply chain processes, operational data or similar business datasets.
Experience in retail analytics, Google Cloud Platform, Tableau/Power BI, optimisation or scenario modelling, AI/machine learning, predictive analytics, or transformation projects would also be advantageous.
