Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a motivated and eager to grow
Software Engineer to join our Engineering team and contribute to the development and evolution of our Cohesion Framework — a key platform enabling extensibility, scalability, and integration across our software products. This role is ideal for a practical software engineer who enjoys building reliable and maintainable systems, working across layers of software architecture, and contributing to shared frameworks used by multiple applications, including web-based user interfaces backed by modern service architectures. We value practical experience, problem-solving ability, and technical curiosity over formal qualifications.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Cohesion Framework
- Develop reusable, scalable, and high-performance software components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration across products
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in architecture discussions and contributing to technical decisions collaboratively
- Support debugging, performance optimization, and issue resolution
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes

- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum 1+ year of relevant professional software engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of industry experience and postgraduate research or study in a related field.
- Strong programming skills in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C#, C++, C, etc).
- Good understanding of:
- Object-oriented design principles
- Software architecture and system design
- Data structures and algorithms
- Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex systems.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Version control experience (e.g., Git).
Nice to Have
- Experience working with frameworks, SDKs, or platform-level development
- Familiarity with plugin architectures or modular systems
- Experience working in cross-product or shared codebases
- Exposure to performance optimization and memory management (especially in C++)
- Knowledge of web technologies (e.g., frontend/backend interaction, REST APIs)
- Experience with web frameworks and web server environments (e.g., Apache)
- Familiarity with SCPI (Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments) or instrument control/automation protocols
- Knowledge of distributed systems, APIs (gRPC/REST), or inter-process communication
- Experience in test automation and CI/CD pipelines
- We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.
