Foodstuffs North Island Limited

Ko Wai Mātou – About Us

Kia ora. We’re Foodies. You know Gilmours, New World, PAK’nSAVE, and Four Square, right? That’s us!

With more than 320 stores and over 27,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Māui, Foodstuffs North Island is a co-operative proudly owned by our Members. Our purpose is simple – making sure New Zealanders get more out of life, and we’re driven by our aspiration to be one of New Zealand’s most customer-driven and productive retailers.

Our Retail Operations & Transformation team are laser-focused on critical metrics — driving SAP support, efficiency of in-store operations, checkout performance and play a key role with new store openings & ownership changes across all three banners.

Te Tūranga – About The Role

We have 2 fixed-term opportunities available for Replenishment Practice & Capability Leads, who will play a key role in strengthening and embedding best-practice replenishment across our retail network.

These are senior, field-based roles focused on uplifting capability and embedding consistent ways of working - not managing people or budgets. You’ll work directly with stores to retrain teams, improve execution, and ensure shelves stay full, standards stay high, and customers get a great experience every time.

Your success will be measured by how effectively replenishment practices are simplified, standardised, and adopted across stores, making them repeatable, sustainable, and easy to execute.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the design and standardisation of end-to-end replenishment practices (back dock to shelf)
  • Working alongside store teams to coach, retrain, and uplift execution capability
  • Embedding consistent approaches to aisle-ready processes, zone ownership, and daily routines
  • Driving behavioural change to ensure new practices are sustained long-term
  • Running plan–do–review cycles to test and refine ways of working
  • Providing hands-on support to resolve in-store execution challenges
  • Ensuring SOPs and training materials are practical, current, and effective
  • Capturing feedback and continuously improving replenishment practices

He Kōrero Mōu – About You

You’re a hands-on retail expert who thrives in-store and understands what great looks like when it comes to replenishment!

With previous experience in retail operations, replenishment, or inventory management, you bring a strong understanding of end-to-end store execution, from back-of-house through to the shelf. You’ve successfully retrained teams, embedded consistent ways of working, and demonstrated your ability to lead change and influence behaviours. You’re also comfortable working with SAP replenishment systems and other retail tools to support effective execution.

You have a natural ability to simplify complex processes and teach them clearly in a practical, store-based environment. A strong communicator and influencer, you build credibility quickly with teams and can drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.

Bring a sharp eye for detail, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and the confidence to work independently in a field-based role to this exciting new role.
