Babbage Consultants is a 100% New Zealand-owned multi-disciplinary practice offering 17 tailored consultancy services across Planning, Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, Environmental, Project Management, Building Services, Geotechnical and Structural Engineering disciplines.

The Opportunity
Our Auckland Planning team continues to grow, and this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Graduate to Intermediate Planner wanting to further develop their technical capability while gaining exposure to a wide variety of projects and sectors. With projects including innovative industrial developments, infrastructure projects, land development projects and a broad range of resource management work. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced planners and technical specialists while building your own professional profile and career pathway.
Based in our Auckland CBD office, you’ll enjoy being part of a supportive and social team environment while also having the autonomy and flexibility to grow your career in a way that suits you.
What We’re Looking For
- Tertiary qualifications in planning, resource management or related discipline
- At least 2+ years of relevant New Zealand planning experience, already holding, or working towards full NZPI membership
- Good knowledge and experience with relevant legislation and a willingness/keenness to upskill with new planning legislation and regulations
- Experience preparing and managing resource consent applications
- Sound communication, presentation and report writing skills
- Positive attitude and an enjoyment of working in a collaborative environment
- Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, councils and colleagues
