Water Serviceperson
Downer
Keep Tasman's water networks flowing. A practical role focused on maintenance, fault response and delivering essential services.
Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We're looking for a Water Serviceperson to join our Tasman team, helping deliver safe, reliable water services across the district's three waters networks.
This is a varied, field-based role where no two days are the same. From installing and maintaining water reticulation assets to responding to network faults, customer requests and emergency incidents, you'll play a key role in keeping critical infrastructure operating smoothly for the community.
You'll work across urban and rural networks, carrying out maintenance, surveys, testing and reinstatement works while ensuring all activities are completed to contract requirements and Downer's standard operating procedures. You'll also contribute to incident response activities and participate in a standby and callout roster when required.
Working closely with supervisors, team members, subcontractors, suppliers and council representatives, you'll build strong relationships and deliver a high standard of workmanship, customer service and safety. Accurate field reporting, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be important to your success in this role.
If you enjoy practical work, take pride in delivering quality outcomes and want to be part of a team that keeps essential services flowing, we'd like to hear from you.
