Yealands Wine Group is one of New Zealand’s most recognised wine producers with a growing presence across international markets. Based in their new Auckland offices, this is an opportunity to take ownership of a globally distributed portfolio at a pivotal moment for the business.
The Role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Senior Brand Manager will drive long-term growth by leading portfolio strategy end to end, from brand positioning and innovation through to execution across domestic and international markets. You’ll own the flagship brand repositioning, manage the innovation pipeline, and be the key liaison across sales, supply chain, finance, and agency partners.
You’ll have a dotted line to one direct report and be expected to work with real commercial autonomy in a no-nonsense environment
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and delivering global growth strategies across the brand portfolio for domestic and priority international markets
- Leading integrated communication strategies across digital, trade, and consumer touchpoints in collaboration with agency partners
- Owning the end-to-end innovation pipeline from insight and concept through to launch, including financial modelling and business case development
- Managing stakeholder relationships across sales, supply chain, winemakers, finance, and external agencies including protecting brand pricing integrity
- Driving retailer and customer activation programmes to accelerate growth
- Managing brand budgets with commercial discipline and a focus on measurable ROI
- Supporting a tech transition to Shopify and Klaviyo for better EDM, CRM, and reporting
About You
- Wine industry experience is preferred, you understand pricing tiers, category dynamics, and global market nuances
- Minimum 4 years in brand management or innovation roles
- Proven track record taking NPD from concept to launch
- Highly analytical, you read brand reports, identify what the data is saying, and build action plans
- Strong stakeholder manager, comfortable managing up, across, and pushing back constructively when it counts
- Digital marketing literate, understands how it all connects and keen to keep developing
- Resourceful and pragmatic, you make the most of what you have and aren’t waiting for perfect conditions
- Degree in Marketing or Business Administration preferred
