About the Role

We’re looking for a National Workshop Manager to lead the performance, safety, and efficiency of our Mechanical & Engineering workshops across New Zealand.

With over 7 workshop sites, you’ll oversee operations, machinery maintenance, and systems management—ensuring high standards across safety, compliance, and productivity. A key part of the role is leading and developing workshop teams and driving consistent performance and best practice across all locations.

Location: Tauranga

Status: Permanent Full-time, with flexibility for regular national travel

Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead workshop health & safety, compliance, and performance
  • Manage and develop workshop teams nationwide, including performance and capability
  • Drive operational efficiency, KPIs, and reporting
  • Oversee machinery servicing and repairs across sites
  • Monitor budgets, costs, and workshop spend
  • Manage tools, suppliers, and workshop resources
  • Support and oversee all Workshop sites performance

Who we're after

  • NZQA Level 4 Automotive Heavy Engineering qualification (or NZQA‑recognised equivalent)
  • 5+ years proven leadership/management experience within a mechanical workshop
  • Strong mechanical and workshop operations knowledge
  • Confident managing budgets, reporting, and KPIs
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-focused
