We're looking for a Digital Performance & Optimisation Lead to join our Digital Sales & Marketing Platform team in Tauranga.
This is a role for someone who's curious about what the data is telling them — and what to do about it. You'll shape the performance story across Mercury's digital channels, turning insight into action that delivers real commercial outcomes. Working closely with marketing, product, and agency partners, you'll help us understand how Kiwis experience Mercury online and where we can do better.
Tāu e mahi ai | What you'll be doing:
- Looking after our digital performance measurement framework — the tracking, dashboards, and insights that show what's working
- Leading our conversion optimisation and experimentation programme across sales, cross-sell, and self-service journeys
- Shaping content, landing page, and personalisation strategies that lift conversion
- Guiding our organic search strategy and our approach to AI search optimisation
- Partnering with agencies and marketing teams to improve paid media performance across social, programmatic, and SEM
Tāu ka kawe mai | What you'll bring:
- 5+ years in digital analytics, optimisation, or performance — ideally in a consumer-facing environment
- Hands-on experience with conversion optimisation end-to-end: test design, analysis, and commercial outcomes
- Solid GA4 and Google Tag Manager skills, including data layer design
- Working knowledge of marketing automation, CMS, CRM/CDP platforms, and tools like Looker or Power BI
- A knack for turning complex data into a clear story, and a collaborative approach to working with technical and business audiences alike
